The Colonial Cinemas 12 opened in the Spring of 2006, replacing the former Briarcliff Cinemas which closed on August 18, 2005. It was renamed AMC Colonial Mall 12 in 2017. It is located in North Myrtle Beach off N. Kings Highway.

It has now changed to an AMC theater
Now named AMC Colonial Mall 12; the mall itself is now called Myrtle Beach Mall.
It is now called AMC CLASSIC
The popcorn popper is on located on an upper level. Popcorn is dropped down a chute to the concession stand. Always fun to watch.
Renamed the AMC Classic Myrtle Beach 12 in 2020
The renaming took place in 2017. The Carmike Colonial Mall 12 opened on September 29th, 2006. Grand opening ad posted.
