Opened in 2000 as a part of the Jack Loeks chain, it was operated by Loews-Cineplex and then by AMC when Loew’s was absorbed into AMC.
Essentially, this megaplex replaced the former UA cinemas which were inside the Fairlane Town Center Mall, as the building was constructed immediately adjacent to the wing of the mall where the UA cinemas used to be. It has an impressive, fanciful, almost Disneyesque façade. By 2017 it also contained an IMAX theatre. It was closed by AMC on November 13, 2022.

Now listed on AMC website as AMC Classic Fairlane 21 Theatre. Theatre also has an IMAX Theatre
Apparently closed permanently earlier this week, but sounds like a renovation and re-opening under a different operator is a possibility.

It’s hard to imagine that any new exhibitor will take this one because it will require an extensive remodel and it’s attached to a dead mall. With a superior Emagine Canton just 10 miles away, this will sit empty, be demolished, or become something else.
