Opened in 2000 as a part of the Jack Loeks chain, it was operated by Loews-Cineplex and then by AMC when Loew’s was absorbed into AMC.
Essentially, this megaplex replaced the former UA cinemas which were inside the Fairlane Town Center Mall, as the building was constructed immediately adjacent to the wing of the mall where the UA cinemas used to be. It has an impressive, fanciful, almost Disneyesque facade. By 2017 it also contained an IMAX theatre.
