Candler Drive-In was located in the South Georgia town of Metter and was opened April 2, 1953 with “The Scarlet Angel”. It parked 300 cars and was one of two drive-ins in Metter. The Candler Drive-in was owned by Dixie Amusement located in Swainsboro, Georgia.

Open 1955-1980?

Open for sure in 1967.

Hi all I also went to this drive-in well I live in
Metter Ga. the family who run the drive-in
live in the screen one of my best friends dated their
daughter also in 1974 it was used in a movie called
“Buster and Billie” staring Jan-Michael Vincent, Joan
Goodfellow, and Robert Englund. Had fun there.
