Located in south Georgia in the home of Vidalia onions, the Davis Drive-In was opened by August 1948 and was located on what at that time was Lyons Road. It was operated by S.B. Davis and held 350 cars. By 1950 it had been renamed Pete’s Drive-In. Like so many south Georgia theatres it was run by Pal Amusement Company, located in Vidalia Georgia.
Interesting, the general manager and booker for Pal Amusement Company was Pete Brice. Wonder if that is where the name came from.

The above address will map accurately to the location of the drive-in, which is now occupied by a Sears Hometown Store.
The drive-in is visible on Google Earth using historic aerial imagery.
The address in the current heading is off by about ½ mile to the east.
The Sweet Onion Cinemas now stands on the site of this drive-in.
