A photo from (probably) the early 1960s - certainly well post-war.
To the left of the entrance doors there was a brass plaque declaring “Odeon Theatre (Bradford) Ltd”, indicating how the individual cinemas were subsidiary companies of the central Odeon company. Local businessmen were encouraged to invest the the project of a new Odeon - to me (no businessman) it does have similarities to the franchise system as run by MacDonald’s (for example). There was a similar business plaque at the Great Horton Road entrance to the (then) Gaumont.
