Opened by 1968, the Princess Drive-In served the rather isolated Dixie County communities. The theater has been demolished for a number of years. The marquee is still standing and being used by the flea market on the property. There is a building in the center of the lot that may or may not have been the concession stand/projection booth.
While the theater was more closely related to Cross City, the county seat, Google Maps says it is in Old Town.

Great aerial view of the remains of the Drive-In on the Map.
Held 200 cars.
Open in ~1969? Care to verify the exact dates?
Anyone have more info or photos?
I’ll swing down there in the next few months and get some pictures of this one, the Graves in Perry, and the Chief in Chiefland.
Here’s all that’s left of the Princess. Note the painting on the marquee.

The Princess was at one time a hard-top theatre which opened in 1926 with a seating capacity of 200. It was later expanded to accommodate 330 in 1934. The theater was destroyed by fire on April 13, 1965. The Princess Drive-In came into being at a later date.
Sometime between October 2018 and April 2021 the marquees were taken down. In fact, most of the items on the property were removed.
