This cinema in the Mayfair Mall opened on May 14, 1999 by General Cinemas with 18-screens which included two VIP auditoriums (which became regular auditoriums in October 2001). AMC took it over in 2002 converted screen-8 into an IMAX screen in 2009.

GCC was opening a 16 screen theatre when closing locations everywhere,What were they smoking in Chestnut Hill,Mass.
I guess they wanted to give Marcus a little spanking.

Marcus had a lot of counter ads in that section of the newspaper.
Marcus had free popcorn in all its theatres in Milwaukeeland to try to keep the crowds away from the Mayfair.

This location has always had 18 screens, and has 3801 seats.
