The Gregg Theatre was in operation by 1935. Seating was listed 487. This theatre was operated by Jefferson Amusement Co. for Paramount Pictures Inc. The theatre closed in the mid-1950’s.

I grew up in this community.This theater was off-limits to Blacks. We had to go across the street Cozy Theater (upstairs).
