This opened on May 19th, 1999 and the IMAX opened on July 2nd, 1999. Grand opening ads posted.

I believe that the entire city is “Santa Clarita” which consists of the four previously unincorporated areas of Valencia, Canyon Country, Newhall, and Saugus. This area has always been confusing as far as city/theatre names.

ennis is correct the REAL IMAX is gone. The IMAX Projection Equipment was removed in 2000.

Chris is correct, the mini-imax has been thrown in on the “slightly curved and moved forward screen” CINERAMA it ain’t. HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART I: the imax experience, opens Friday, November 19, 2010, 9:15am, $17.50, if you care to spend an extra $6.50 for the imax experience.

According to the local newspaper, Regal dropped IMAX.
