Opened in November 2000 as an 12 screen by Kerasotes Theatres. It became part of the AMC chain called the AMC Showplace 12 and in early-2018 it was renamed AMC Classic Columbus 12. It was closed on April 30, 2026.

I believe the original plans had it as an 8 screen, but it was built as a 12 screen.
The Showplace 12 Opened In November 2000 Shortly Before The Nearby Cinema 5 Closed Its Doors For The Final Time During The Same Month After 31 Years Of Operation.
This theatre will be closing for good on April 30, 2026.
