Opened in December 1970 with Paul Newman in “WUSA”. The Mini-Cinema was located in the York Shopping Center and was operated by the Mini-Cinemas Group. It was later a Stewart-Everett theatre located in Rock Hill, S.C. Later expanded to 4-screens, it became a 7-screen theatre. It was later operated by Carmike. Since early 2017 it has been taken over by AMC.

There was a separate Cinema that Stewart & Everett ran before opening this theatre. There are some instances in the Rock Hill Herald where both theatre are operating at the same time. I think this opened as a 4-screen.
Stewart & Everett had three theaters in Rock Hill. The Pix, The Cinema and The Cinema 4. This theater opened as the Cinema 4 in the late 70’s or early 80’s.
