The Taboo Cinema Club, which was owned by Miss Christine Grainger was raided in March 1989 per the Evening Mail of April 5th, 1989. Article posted.

Closed permanently on 28 October 2020. The building will be demolished to make way for Curzon Street Station as part of the HS2 project. According to the Taboo Cinema website they are looking for a new location.

Very adult and deliciously seedy. Has dark corners which are well used! Reasonable variation in porn films (video).
