Opened on 23/6/1950 with “Colorado Territory” and “Sitting pretty”. Closed in 1976. The self storage facilty is called Burnet Road Self Storage facilty.

Photo was taken in the early 70’s before closure. I showed some films there as a relief operator in the early 70'. Nice drive in. There are other photos of the theater on either side of the above link.

Open ~1952-~1976? can anyone verify the exact dates?

Owners:

1955 Claude Ezell & Associates, Inc.

1961-1975 Trans-Texas Theaters Inc., of Dallas, Earl Podolnick, President. Besides the Burnet Drive-In they had 9 other theaters all in Texas.

Though not the same as the Burnet Drive-In Sign, the Burnet Road Self Storage Sign looks like it could have been a Drive-In sign!
