Coram Drive In

The Coram Drive-In was one of a number of small drive in’s built by Associated Prudential Theatres Inc. It was opened on June 4, 1954 with Tony Curtis in “Beachhead” & Jeff Chandler in “Yankee Pasha”. It was last operated by United Artists and they closed it on October 4, 1983 with Pia Zadora in “The Lonely Lady”. The site eventually was used for a small multiplex, now shuttered.

A current address for this former drive-in is 460 Wincoram Way, Coram, NY 11727. This will map to a business almost directly in the middle of where it was. If you want the actual address where the entrance road was, that’s now 396 Middle Country Rd. Also the entrance drive-way and marquee existed up until 2013 on Google Street View.

Marquee (pylon) was around long after 2013 as was the “remains” of the subsequent multiplex.
