Actual closing date is April 23, 1983. The Montrose screened French films during its final days of operation.

The Montrose Theatre launched on April 1, 1954 with Robert Wagner “Beneath the 12-Mile Reef” supported by the shorts, “ Finale from Symphony #4” and “Vesuvius Express,” all in CinemaScope - the first films and theater to project in that format in Montreal. Its 46' wide panoramic magic silver screen was a hit.

  • Cela a rouvert comme Cinéma 7e Art le 15 décembre 1972 et a été clôturé en 1981. Il a été exploité par Ciné-Enterprise. Une publication dans le journal sur la photo.

  • This reopened as Cinéma 7e Art on December 15th, 1972 and closed down in 1981. It was operated by Ciné-Enterprise. A newspaper ad in the photo section.
