Yesterday’s Provo Daily Herald wrote that the Timp was demolished in June 1993.
Proximity to Mount Timpanogos, often referred to as Timp.
Why the name Timpanogos?
1956 car capicity was listed at 500 and it was owned by Huish and Gilhool.
Named for Mount Timpanogos which got it’s name from the Timpanogots Ute Tribe.
From 1953 to at least ~1967? had the name Timpanogos Cinemotor Drive-In.
From ~1969? it was called the Timp Drive-In.
In 1993 the Ticket Booth and Projection/Concession Building were still standing.
More info and photos are always welcome.
