The Moviedome opened on November 28, 1997. Seating is listed at 1,433. Auditoriums range in seating from 60 to 178. The theatre was last owned by Carnival Cinemas and operated as a discount house. It was closed in 2013.

Please mark as closed as it shut down in 2013. It was formerly a Zellers department store location before the onetime Franklin Mall was redeveloped into today’s Pacific Place.
This opened on November 28th, 1997 by Carnival Cinemas, which had a location in Red Deer and Chateauguay, QC.
I used to go here a lot the first & only time I lived in Calgary – which was also the first time I lived in AB, and would move to Edmonton the end of ‘06 for 7 months, then left the province – between summer of '05 to winter of '06.
