This theater, which is part of the Windsor Square Shopping Center, was Knoxville’s very popular "Dollar Movie" second-run house since it opened June 2, 1989.
As neither parent company have been willing to renovate this cash cow, it is still decorated in its original day-glo orange, purple, black and green color scheme - with neon accents, of course! Incredibly tacky, and now rather shabby (they really could use new screens), but the eye-melting decor is starting to take on a "vintage" appeal out of sheer persistence! It was closed in April 2022 and is due to become a church in 2023.
