Located in Windsor, Berkshire, to the west of London. The Windsor Kinema was opened in January 1913. Seating at that time was for 400 all on a single floor. It had an attractively decorated façade. In 1930, it was equipped with an A.W.H sound system and was renamed Regal Cinema.
It was taken over by the Southan Morris chain in February 1935 and was enlarged to 739 seats. Later that year, it was taken over by the Union Cinemas chain, and they were taken over by the Associated British Cinemas(ABC) chain in October 1937.
ABC closed the Regal Cinema on 4th January 1969 and it was converted into a bingo club. A branch of Boots the chemists operates at this address in 2010.
