Opened on May 19, 2005, the Market Street is Cinemark’s second investment in the Woodlands Community, the first being the highly successful Tinseltown 17. The Market Street is part of Cinemark’s CineArts line of venues which present mostly art house fare and feature amenities such as large screens, state of the art presentation and stadium seating. It was closed on December 30, 2021.

It was reopened by Reel Luxury Cinemas as a dine-in cinema named Reel Luxury Cinemas on July 18, 2023.

This appears to be an architectural drawing of the Woodlands; if this is close to the shopping area as actually built, the theater’s frontage is intended to resemble a classic theater in an urban area of, oh, say around 1940: View link

This is a really nice theater, notable for its beautiful art deco facade and neon spire, which are visible from the whole Market Street district.

The theater itself is very compactly stuffed into the second floor of the building, with a small lobby and the snack bar doubling as the box office. The auditoriums are on the small side but comfortable. It tends to be less crowded and much cleaner than the larger Cinemark multiplex around the corner, and it also has much closer parking.
