Vintage street view photographs show the State Theatre standing at (aprox) 135 S. Wilson, Vinita. The State Theatre was opened on March 27, 1940 with John Clements in “The Four Feathers”. It was closed in 1944.

It was amalgamated with an adjacent store to become a Ben Franklin store. Today the site is Grand Furniture Outlet.

This theatre was not present on 1925 fire insurance maps, so it must have become a theatre at some point after that.

Opened on March 27th, 1940, and closed in 1944 and merged with another store to create the Ben Franklin store. Grand opening ad posted.
