boy do i recall a few interesting Saturday nights at this place!
Actually Mike the whole movie title of “VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA” is on the Fulton Blvd’s marquee. They just had the words “TO THE” put up in small letters. Just figured I’d pass that along! :–)
Oh,Alonzo thanks for the pictures.Wish the one with “Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea” had the whole Title.
Sounds more like a Georgia Theatre operation, everytime they closed something; some part of something would be somewhere on a Drive-in Or walk-in Theatre.
The Fulton Blvd Drive-In was one huge drive-in,

Thats a great marquee story Alonzo.
When the Fulton Blvd Drive-In closed in 1971 they actually moved there marquee to the Scott Drive-In that was located in Decatur, GA. When the Scott Drive-In closed in 1977 this same marquee was then moved once again to the Gwinnett Drive-In that was located in Norcross, GA.
Storey Theatres, Inc., of Atlanta, Frederick G. Storey, President & Gen. Mgr., had 16 theaters in Georgia.
Also owned by H.B. Meiselman Theatres, of Charlotte, N.C., H.B. Meiselman, President & Gen. Mgr., they had 26 theaters in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
The Drive-In was set sideways to the road so the screen was at the Northeast end of the lot.
More info and photos are always welcome.
