Opened on May 23, 2003 as one of the first multiplexes to be established in Shallotte and in all of Brunswick County, North Carolina. Owned and operated by Frank Theatres whom had several theatres located throughout the state.
This theater was the only cinema in the town located just off Highway 17. It was closed in September 2018 when it was damaged by Hurricane Florence.

The Frank Family Entertainment Group got it’s start way back in Philadelphia in 1906 with Samuel Frank. In 1966 it had the first twin cinema in the United States. Al Frank is the Chairman, with offices in Jupiter, Florida and Atlantic City, New Jersey. They have 26 Theaters with 229 screens in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.

The Franks did not have their first twin theatre in 1966, it was the mall in Cleveland way back in 1914 http://cinematreasures.org/theaters/7146. Rome, Italy had one before that.
This theater was damaged in Hurricane Florence in 2018 and did not reopen.
