The Sierra Theatre was opened by Fox West Coast Theatres on June 22, 1934 with Chester Morris in “Let’s Talk It Over” & Bill Boyd in “Cheaters”. It was last operated by Blumenfeld Theatres chain and closed in 1954.

Boxoffice of June 5, 1954, reported that the Blumenthal circuit’s Sierra Theatre in Stockton had recently been closed to make way for two stores. It didn’t say if the building was to be demolished, or merely converted to retail use.

The Sierra Theatre was at 520 E. Main Street. The building is now occupied by a retail establishment, Solario’s Furniture and Jewelery.

Fox West Coast Theatres opened the Sierra on June 22, 1934 with Chester Morris in “Let’s Talk It Over” and Bill Boyd in “Cheaters” along with a Universal Newsreel.
