The construction of the United Artists Park Sierra Theatre was covered in the April 13, 1980 edition of the Los Angeles Times. It was originally planned with four screens, seating 1,600. When it opened on December 18, 1981 it had six screens, with seating capacity not given.
In July of 2003, while being operated by Regal it closed. The Park Sierra 6 space in Regal’s newspaper advertisement read “Call Theatre for show Information.”
The Riverside Press-Enterprise said that when it was put up for sale, a deed restriction said that it could never be used again as a movie theater. In 2005 the former theater was converted to a medical building.

I have a rather bittersweet memory of the Park Sierra. It was here that I had a final get-together with an ex-girlfriend…who was my First Great Love.. She took me to see “The Sandlot” in 1993 as a birthday present. That was the last time we got together…we’ve both moved on and have married other people now…but I guess you don’t forget what it’s like when your First Love has to end…
Ive seen Titanic,Beavis and Butthead the movie, and Next Friday at this movie theater. Memories.
Opened as UA Movies 6 on December 18th, 1981. Grand opening ad posted.
