Cooper 5 Theatres

Located on the north-east corner of S. Chambers Road and E. Iliff Avenue. One of a handful ‘Cooper’ circular style multiplexes operating in the Denver area. The Cooper 5 Theatres was opened by Commonwealth Theaters Corp. on June 1, 1984. It featured a 70mm projector. Later operated by United Artists. It was closed in August 1999.

Opened March 9, 1961 as the Cooper Cinerama. The addition four screens were added a few years later. The interior has basically been gutted and repurposed as a worship centre.

Wrong, Jack. The Cooper 5 & Cooper 7 in Littleton both opened on June 1st, 1984. Grand opening for both theatres posted in the photo section.

Yeah, it was never once known as Cooper Cinerama. Also, the actual closing date is November 2, 1999.
