Plaza Theatre

The Plaza Theatre was opened in 1951. All seating was on a single floor, and there was a cry room and a party room flanking the projection box. There was a 500-car parking lot at the rear of the building.

I remember going there as a child in the early 1960’s. However, I remember it be connected to the Lexington Park Hotel. Does anyone else remember this movie theatre. I also remember that slot machines were allowed in St. Mary’s County, and there was an arcade very close to it.
