Located in the small East Anglia, Norfolk town of Wisbech. The Hippodrome Theatre was a conversion of the Public Rooms. It was operating as a cinema prior to 1934, when it was operated by Harry Bancroft.
By the late-1970’s, it had been renamed Unit One Cinema. It was closed and demolished in around 1982.

Was a public hall dating back to 1850 and became a cinema by 1916. L Jaffa intended to twin the Hippodrome but never got beyond Unit 1. Norman Jacobs took over in 1982 using a balcony only operation with the stalls converted into a café with slot machines.
