The Gran Cine Savoy opened in 1949. The original main auditorium was divided into 4 screens in 1991.
In March 2005 it was taken over by the Arteplex chain and re-named Cine Arteplex Belgrano, it showed arty or indie films. It was closed in May 2012.
Due to public pressure, it was re-opened in 2013 as the Cineplex, showing art house films.

Reopened in 2013 thanks to people' support. Renamed Cineplex. Art films mainly.
