Located in the upmarket Chacao district to the east of central Caracas. The Teatro Caribe was built as part of the Centro Mata de Coco, a residential development which included a small shopping centre. The Teatro Caribe was opened on 25th May 1960 as a cinema. Seating was provided in stalls and balcony levels.
The Teatro Caribe was closed as a cinema in 1983. It has since been in use as a theatrical rehearsal studio.
