The Malvern Drive-In was opened prior to 1955, when it was operated by Rowley United Theatres Inc. It was closed in the early-1990’s. As of May 2012 the Malvern screen was standing and intact. “MALVERN” was visible where the individual lettering had been removed from the back of the screen. Concession & projection building, speakers and ticket booth are all gone.

A 1983 aerial view shows the drive-in still in operation, but the house that was built right next to the screen was constructed during the early-1990s, meaning that the theater closed around there. As of January 2026, the screen still stands but skeletons can be seen in some parts of the back.
As of July 2026, the screen still stands, although it is rapidly deteriorating. It’s a miracle it’s still there, and a blessing. The Malvern moose lodge has occupied the building on the site for years, that sits right behind the screen from the main road.
