Cineplex was issued a permit on October 31st, 2025 to renovate theatre 6. It doesn’t appear work has started yet, but it sounds like they might be putting in an UltraAVX at some point? Maybe laser projection?
25-231594 RE Interior Alteration. Cineplex Scotiabank Theatre. Single-story, single tenant building. Cinema #6. Re-fit of cinema; new finishes, seats, projection screen, sound system. Modifications to the projection room wall and window. New entrance bulkhead. Electrical work being done.
Offers films shown in not only IMAX, but Dbox, Screen X and 3-D. This theatre also allows snacks/food to be picked up and delivered by Uber Eats.

The cinema’s opening films include Princess Mononoke, Mansfield Park, Toy Story 2, Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, Sleepy Hollow, The Divine Ryans, The World is Not Enough, End of Days, and Pokémon: The First Movie.
Opened on December 3rd, 1999. Grand opening ad posted.
Now operating as Scotiabank Theatre Winnipeg, according to the Cineplex website.
