The description should be updated – The West Tower theatre actually opened in the early 80s as a 4 screen complex and expanded to 6 screens shortly after it originally opened. In about 1994 / 1995 it was expanded to its current 10 screen configuration. It has been operated by Litchfield Theatres, United Artists and now Regal Entertainment Group.
While the building itself isn’t easy to see from the street, they do maintain an old-fashioned hand-changed signboard advertising the current movies which is right alongside Broad Street and easily read from a passing car.
