This became RC Theatres in November 2019
The walls at this theater are very thin so the sound bleed-over from one auditorium to another is pretty bad. I saw Spotlight and it was right near the lie-MAX theater showing Star Wars, so the dialogue heavy drama was occasionally drowned out by the music/action from the neighboring theater. I do wonder if they will be upgrading soon as despite being only 5 years old their seats are definitely showing some wear and tear.
I had a slightly better time at the Regal RPX theater in Salisbury, MD than I did at the Lie-MAX here. I submitted a picture of the Lie-Max here a while back, and it looks very odd, unlike the aforementioned RPX I went two weeks ago. I paid $12.50 for the RPX compared to the $16 I paid here. Oh, and “Man of Steel” is awesome by the way (I saw it in the RPX).
The reason the front faced the side of the center was because Weiss had something in its lease preventing another theatre to be facing in the same direction, so Frank built the theatres and had front facing the side road, still has a sign though on the side advertising the complex.
Looks like they took advantage of the hill sloping for stadium seating.
it is pretty nice inside but i’m not sure why the front faces away from the shopping center, i always thought that was kind of dumb.
I think this is one of the nicest multiplex shoebox complexes I have patronized. It was well kept and sparkling clean the few times I have been there to see a movie. Of course, it was not a Saturday or Sunday when we patronized it. I would not hesitate to see a movie here again.
