February 6, 1992 marked a welcome addition to Newark’s Peoples Plaza as a high-tech 10-screen Regal Cinema was opened. By the end of the year another 3 screens had been added. It has since become a popular attraction for local moviegoers, rivaling two other theaters in northern Delaware - Regal Brandywine Town Center 16 and Cinemark Movies 10, both located in Wilmington. It now offers 17 screens.
