The Daily Press reported on December 16, 2012 that the former UltraStar in Apple Valley had become part of Digiplex Destinations.
The 2,600-seat theater, designed by GMID Architects, originally opened as the UltraStar 14, on December 20, 2007. Its competition is the Cinemark 12 at Jess Ranch.
Apple Valley wasn’t the only theater involved in the $13 million transaction, which included theaters in San Diego, California and Surprise, Arizona. It was taken over by Carmike Cinemas in 2014. In late-2016 it was taken over by AMC..

This theatre and all of Digiplex’s locations were purchased by Carmike Cinemas in 2014. Now the AMC Classic Apple Valley 14, as a result of AMC Theatres buying Carmike in late 2016.
