The City Centre Stadium 16 was opened on December 19, 2003 by Signature Theatres and in 2004 became a Regal Cinema.
In January 2005 Recordnet.com said the 3,406-seat theater drew a million patrons in its first year, bringing new vitality to the downtown.
The two largest auditoriums have 420 seats while the others hold from 147 to 300. On November 7, 2008 an IMAX screen was added.
