Two new Powers Deluxe projectors, along with other necessary machinery, were supplied by Harringtons Ltd. and worked without a glitch on opening night – 12th November 1923. Showing considerable optimism, Brudenell-Woods had already formed a company to build another theater two miles away in Roseville. Plans were drawn up and construction tenders were called (in March 1924) but by December that year the firm was being wound up. (An already existing hall at Roseville was later converted into a cinema which is still open today).
