It was actually first operated by Cineplex Odeon before being taken over by Loews Cineplex.
This was the very first AMC Theatre to install recliners back in early 2011 as an experiment. The attendance more than doubled in the 18 months following the full conversation, it was so successful AMC refers to it as the “The Miracle of Lakewood” on the history page on their website and can be attributed as a big reason AMC committed to reseating so many theaters to recliners over the past 10+ years or so.
12 screens on November 22nd, 1996.
Opened December 8 1989 Lakewood Mall cinemas opening 08 Dec 1989, Fri The News Tribune (Tacoma, Washington) Newspapers.com
It used to be a six-plex inside the old Lakewood Mall food court before the mall closed and branched off into various strip malls becoming the current towne center. It has great reclining seats now.
I believe this has two snack bars, one at each building.
Nice but not ornate which I always associated with Loews. It looks like a AMC. All one level and spread out in two building.
Was originally a six plex, then they expanded it to 12 screens.
