The Norgan Theatre was opened in 1947 due to a donation of $50,000 by George Norgan. Norgan was a successful Vancouver businessman with roots in Palmerston.
In 2007, the theater was restored with a grant from the town of Minto. As one of the few municipally-owned theaters in Ontario, it relies heavily on community volunteers for staffing.
