Located in Wingham, Ontario. The Lyceum Theatre was opened in the 1920’s. It was modernised when sound was installed in the early-1930’s when it was operated by Captain Adams. Later his son Alton Adams took over. It was later operated by W.T. ‘Doc’ Cruickshank who operated the town radio station and set up and operated the town TV station in 1955.
In the 1970’s it was purchased by Nelson Frank and John Schedler. The Lyceum Theatre hosted the annual Wingham Film Festival for nine years. It played first-run movies, and was last operated by Ward Robertson.
The Lyceum Theatre was closed around 2005.
