Owned by C. A. Drake. The Drake Theatre was opened around November 1939. It closed sometime in the 1960’s. I came upon this theatre in the 1970’s and was able to get into the balcony. Had a flashlight (always carry one) and could see the front of the auditorium was filled with water. Projection booth still contained the equipment. All seats were still intact. Pearson is a very small town on Highway 82. Railroad runs parallel to the main street.
Building has probably been demolished by now if it has not been converted or the roof fallen in.

The January 6, 1940 issue of Boxoffice said “Pearson— The new Drake has opened.” The opening was probably in November or December, 1939.
