The Fresno Bee covered the opening of the six-screen, 1,100-seat Selma Cinemas on May 22, 1998. The $2.3 million cinema, expandable to 8-screens, was Selma’s first theater since the Park Theatre burned down in 1984.
“We hope to serve not only Selma but all the communities in the area,” said Gary Culver, a partner in the project with Ron and Lori Litvin.
