Opened by General Amusements Inc. in 1953. The screen faced Old Emporia Road. The marquee is at the corner of Lawrenceville Road & Faye Road. Turn off of Lawrenceville Road to Faye Road to pay at Ticket booth. Exit theatre onto Copeland Road.

It looks like it could be reopened!!
We drove by there yesterday. Faye & Copeland Roads are merely grass paths now. The ticket booth is gone. I posted a picture of the remains of the projection booth / concession stand. Gaston Volunteer Fire Dept. has taken over part of site with plans to build & enlarge.
The photos posted so far are dated 2013. I visited this drive in in 1995 and it was overgrown and in very poor condition. Were these photos taken in 2013, or from an earlier time? Does anyone know more of the history of this drive in?
A 2014 Google Street View shows the property to be fully mowed. And while the screen is still standing, the projection booth/concession stand is gone.
The marquee is also standing on Lawrenceville Road, but is not in the best condition. That is where the entrance road used to be. Today, it is covered in grass.
Opened in 1953.
The Gaston Drive-In actually has a capacity of 341 cars (not 750), and was originally operated by General Amusements Inc.
A closer address is 110 Old Emporia Rd, Gaston, NC.
Google Maps has updated their addresses and this puts it right next to the drive-in. The marquee is still there and falling apart.
