Located at 12th Street and Center Street. The Lincoln Theatre was opened on October 30, 1920 with Evelyn Preer in “The Brute”. It was mentioned in The Bystander newspaper on September 1, 1921, “It will be of interest to all to know that the Lincoln Theatre will re-open September 10 under the management of M. Pizaro who has had wide experience in the show business. High class pictures will be run in connection with vaudeville and stock”. The Lincoln Theatre was advertised in 1921 as the only “colored theatre” in Iowa.
