I loved going to this theater back in the 80’s,when I was stationed at Fort Hunter Liggett. Great theater!!!!
Drove by this theater again last week and snapped a couple of photos. I did notice Regal’s logo on the concrete trash can outside and on one of the floor mats inside.
I drove by this theater last week – it’s still called the Festival Cinemas. No mention of Regal anywhere on the building. There’s definitely an ‘80s vibe to the place.
According to an advert in the San Luis Obispo County Telegram-Tribune (newspaper), this theatre opened as the Festival Cinemas (6-plex) on June 1, 1984 showing “Star Trek III”, “The Bounty”, “The Natural”, “Once Upon A Time In America”, “Terms Of Endearment” and “Romancing The Stone”.
