Before the theatre opened, the shopping centre was known as Larwin Plaza. It became the Vallejo Plaza shopping center and the theatre was opened by AMC in 1981.
The Vallejo Plaza 6 was closed in 2001, and was demolished in 2004

Through research I found this several tidbits…
1) Larwin Plaza (precursor to Vallejo Plaza was opened the year I was born 1962 (God I’m old! 😁😁😁).It actually had a Sears inside.
2) Larwin (named after the finance company the put up the money) changed its name to Vallejo to distinguish it from the massive Solano Mall (now Town Center) in 1981.
AMC built theater the same year. AM Vallejo Plaza time line 1981-2001. BTW you’re welcome! 😍
