The Eastgate Cinema IV was opened by Ogden Perry Theatres Inc. on November 14, 1975. It was taken over by Gulf States Theatres in 1986. The cinema could accommodate 850 patrons. United Artists Theatres was the final operator taking over operations in 1987 and closed the cinema in 1995.

The Eastgate Cinema 4 was opened by Ogden Perry Theatres on November 14th, 1975 and closed in 1995. It was later taken over by Gulf States theatres in 1986 and United Artists in 1987. It was never part of General Cinema. Grand opening ad posted.
