Was actually demolished by 1970, approximate address is 17525 LA-1, Vivian, LA 71082. KNCB, a local radio station occupies the site with its studio next door and a transmission tower in the field where the drive-in stood. Also it looks like the old concession building or remains of it still stand.
Operated by W & K Theatres.
Why the name Wakea(sounds Hawaiian to me?).
KNCB signed on the air on April 9, 1966, so the theater was probably demolished sometime in 1965.
There is another small drive-in theater just north of the Wakea Drive-In called the Gay Drive-In. It would have its own page soon.
