The Melody Drive-In was opened on May 8, 1952 with Doris Day in “On Moonlight Bay”. It could accomodate 200 cars. The drive-in was operated by Southern Amusements and closed in the late-1970’s.

The Drive-In was located at approximately 1900 US 165 (Google) which is now the location of (surprise) a Walmart Supercenter. https://goo.gl/maps/2WRtm
